Abstract: The field monitoring on the vertical shaft freezing pressure in Kouzidong mine shows that the freezing pressure has random feature, changing from accelerating rise, gentle slope to stationary phase. Under the influence of frozen pipe skewness, brine flow unevenly, geotechnical properties and environmental change, the freezing pressure has fuzzy characteristics simultaneously. For both considerations of them, uncertainty analysis on shaft freezing pressure is conducted by fuzzy random method. Distinguishing between clay and calcareous clay, fuzzy random formulas of vertical shaft freezing pressure have been built through the formulas derivation and data fitting. At last, an engineering example in Zhujixi mine is given for verifying the degree of fitting between fuzzy random analysis value and measured value. The results fit well, thus providing a reliable guarantee for shaft safety in future.?
